Big girl Verna was running loose for months in a southern Indiana town. IHRS volunteers caught her after a good Samaritan alerted us to her presence in a park. Did you know big, black and white domestic rabbits lack the instincts and coloring to survive long term? Verna was very lucky. She did have fleas and intestinal worms when we took her in, but she is being treated for these.

Verna is recovering from her spay. She has taken a few days to figure out what it means to be warm, indoors, and provided constant food and water! She is quickly learning that people are friends with good stuff. Will you be Verna's forever family so she will know she'll never be abandoned again?
