Cashmere

Lop
Age: 2 years 2 months

It is not often that we welcome a new intake whose story leaves us truly puzzled about what they may have endured beyond obvious significant trauma. Meet Cashmere — a criminally cute, petite lop girl with a tender heart hidden behind protective walls.

Cashmere was found as a stray, and while she is clearly grateful to be safe indoors, she arrived with deep trust issues and highly defensive behavior, including lunging and biting when frightened. Since coming into rescue, she has been making slow but steady progress as she learns that people can be kind and predictable.

Cashmere will need an exceptionally patient adopter who understands that healing is not linear. She deserves someone who will extend her grace, celebrate the smallest victories, and quietly cheer her on every step of the way. Beneath her fear is a rabbit who wants to feel safe, and with time, compassion, and understanding, we believe Cashmere has the potential to blossom.

Are you Cashmere’s person?
