Indianapolis is in the path of totality for the solar eclipse on April 8, 2024! Totality will be at 3:06 pm local time (Eastern Daylight Time).
We will be hanging out at our Rabbit Adoption Center in the Fountain Square neighborhood, just blocks from downtown Indianapolis! The adoption center is at 1032 Shelby St.
We will have snacks, eclipse gear to purchase (including eclipse safe glasses until supplies run out!), and foster bunnies to meet!
Note: traffic and parking may be very heavy in Indianapolis and area interstates. We recommend you find your way to Fountain Square early enough that you are not risking missing the totality! We do not have a large outdoor space, but we will be on our sidewalks around the adoption center enjoying this epic event with everyone else who is lucky enough to be in the path of totality across the country. Fountain Square has lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. Make a day of it!
The rapid transit bus IndyGo Red Line passes right through Fountain Square. The closest stop to the adoption center is about a block away at Virginia St and Woodlawn Ave.
